I’m working on updating the date in the form. Some feedback I plan to
eventually give: it took me literally 12 hours (that’s not an
exaggeration) to clone the ASF Infra repo (on a good internet connection)
to make this one line change and that took the free time I had over the
weekend for this.

This is the vote thread, I was only correcting Dave. This is the vote
thread for the Cassandra PMC, but for the IPMC (that's been cc'd) only a
lazy consensus is required. A link to this thread will need to be added to
the IP Clearance form (see its very last box).
This thread already has the thr
So Mick - just to be clear, it sounds like you're asking if we need a VOTE
thread, but also saying you want one regardless of ASF policy. Am I
understanding you correctly?

Please fill out the *date* column in the form to indicate all steps have
been done.

Apologies for coming in late on this one.
+1 in general, but… -1 on the gh transfer (see below), and a few questions
seeking clarification.
Dave, is your comment about lazy-consensus applicable to both the project's
PMC or the IPMC (Incubator PMC's role on this thread) ? My understanding
is tha
I've renamed the repo to cassandra-easy-stress and filed INFRA-26785 to
initiate the transfer.

Will update here when it's moved over.

Since we only need lazy consensus here - it sounds like i can go ahead and
rename the repo to cassandra-easy-stress and transfer it over to Apache.

+1, open to other names, cassandra-easy-stress is fine with me. I do
think we should change it to avoid confusion though.

Correction: Jon reminded me we discussed this @ the dev list level
previously and the name was proposed by Stefan not mick. My apologies. I’m
on my phone in the middle of a call so don’t have the link handy but will
follow up later if folks can’t find the thread.

I will defer to Mick on the proposed naming, and any requirements, as that
came from the document he created that is linked at the start of the
thread. I don’t have a personal preference besides to note that it conforms
with all the other project names like cassandra-analytics and
cassandra-sidecar
Id be perfectly fine keeping the name. People do know it, its been around
for two years.
As long as no one minds that i continue to own and maintain easy-cass-lab,
keeping the name works for me.

Not a big deal, but renaming this project to cassandra-stress could
potentially confuse users with legacy (in-tree) cassandra-stress
