we are running one small testing cluster on virtualized HW,
it had little higher IOWaits in past, but after upgrade to
C* 3.11.1 IOWaits grew up +- three times. Are there any
changes causing more agressive disc usage?

could you please look at issue CASSANDRA-13046? Fix is mentioned
in closed (not fixed) issue CASSANDRA-10920, and it is just a little
change in cassandra startup file. Would be nice to have it fixed in 3.10:).
