I haven't configured anything about the on-screen keyboard so it should
be the default one, whichever that is. I don't ever use it, to be
honest, but it does appear if I touch a text field on the screen. Ah,
now after I've used it the cursor work on the bottom part of the screen
again.

when I send the crash report launchpad isn't opened. Might be because the
crash file _usr_bin_gnome.shell.1000.crash is 45 MB, the
file _usr_bin_gnome.shell.1000.upload is 0 bytes and

This is a new installation. During the installation After each change I made
Suspend and restarted the computer and checked if gnome-shell had crashed.

I don't know if this is related. It seems I always get a crash either when I
start suspend or when I return from suspend. When I send the crash report
launchpad don't open. The crash is in gnome-shell and the crash message is
"gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in_st_theme_node_ensure_background()

some time. Alternatively I also use a system on other hardware with Groovy

This is a very old bug.
As far as I know support of fglrx is cancelled and replaced with amdgpu-pro.
I'm using amdgpu now and have no problems.
Additional drivers don't offers on the Ubuntu 17.10 beta I'm using now.

Thanks! It seems my install was beyond repair, probably because of
bleeding edge Gnome3 packages, purging didnt help. But a fresh install
did, so magically internet now works with kernel 4.2.0-10.11!

I enabled proposed and updated.
During the upgrade I got a notification about "broken packages", but the
notification was removed.
After the upgrade System Settings/Software & Updates/Additional Drivers was

And then I copied this file (radeon_dri.so.dpkg-new) back to
./usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/ as root. I don't know if this bug was
because I changed the default graphics driver when installing Ubuntu?
This is not my only computer, so it's been a while since I've been using
it.

I went into ./usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/ in Nautilus as root and just
copied radeon_dri.so to another folder where I renamed it radeon_dri.so
.dpkg-new. So now it doesn't complain!

Just wanted to add that webcam microphone works, but skype cannot detect
it as a video device. Also VLC cannot show its video so it is not skype
problem either.

possible to use both saa7134 and webcam. Both work if only one of them
