2014-10-25 Thread pberndt
Public bug reported: In one of the latest releases, you removed the static libraries from libgtk-3-dev. (They were still there in 3.4.2 and are missing in 3.10.8-0ubuntu1.) Please consider re-adding them. I have read in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdk-pixbuf/+bug/1101157 that you re

I second this request. In contrast to your objection/warning, static builds of current versions of gdk-pixbuf (and gtk3) work very well in my experience. But they do not make much sense unless the loaders are also linked statically. AFAIK, this requires one to configure gdk-pixbuf with ./configure

I updated the title: That the .la files are missing might be intentional (AFAIK, Debian tries to get rid of libtool files). But the static library itself is also missing from the -dev archive. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed

Public bug reported: Since I updated to 12.04, lightdm freezes for a few seconds before I can enter my password. While it is frozen I can already see the window and user names, but the background image is missing (I only see the dots) and I can not see the password field (the empty space where it
