I started having this issue [both monitors black out, no mouse our keyboard input, still able to SSH in over the network] after upgrading from 11.04 to 12.04. Generally, when I SSH after the freeze/hang, Xorg is taking 100% CPU and I see "EQ overflowing" in the Xorg.0.log. My setup looks like t
