1. Get a Amiga .mod file (any will do).
2. Add it to rhythmbox play queue
3. Play it
4. After playing rhythmbox GUI freezes and needs to be killed.
The bug may be as well in gstreamer plugin responsible for mods but this
is how it appears for end users.

Looks like there was issue with dpkg database. Anyway this is a serious
bug in gnome software as no error message is given and no graphical way
to recover from the situation.

Closing the dialog window causes "application not responding" dialog to
appear.

I'm getting this or similiar error on Mint Nadia. On every login gtk
theme "crashes" and .xsession-error contains:
(gnome-settings-daemon:1878): Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'gnome-settings-daemon'
received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.

evolution-alarmd is still running (and using quite a lot of memory) on
quantal which has thunderbird as default PIM suite. It cannot be
removed, as several gnome packages still depend on evolution libraries.

polling so it's not a crash.

How about releasing the fix in Quantal asap? RB has been broken since
quantal release it's a bit annoying. Matttbe's package fixes the issue
here too, but average users won't be installing from PPA.

"me too". Firefox tries to open zip files in gedit. In Nautilus they are
correctly associated to file-roller.
Removing this line seemed to fix the issue:
application/octet-stream=gedit.desktop;inkscape.desktop;
I believe the bug is NOT in Firefox, but in whatever adds the line to
the mimeapps.lis
