Also, I created a new user account to test this issue. This problem is
not exhibited with the new user account, although both that account and
my existing account where the problem exists have the same settings in
monitors.xml.

Additional information: I deleted ~/.config/monitors.xml and let it be
re-created the next time I logged in and set up my monitor configuration
using the Displays dialog under System Settings. This had no effect (the
same issue was present the next time I logged in). I have attached the

I have my laptop hooked up to an external monitor. Each time I log in,
both monitors occupy the same space. I have to open the Displays section
of System Settings and drag the monitors around to re-postion them.

I just wanted to alert everyone that the upstream bug #647083 was closed
due to this being an issue with AppMenu-GTK rather than Gnome.
This is a bummer because Edit->Rating is the only way to rate multiple
songs in Banshee. For now I'll be disabling the AppMenu for Banshee as a
workaround per
