[Upstream] PDF File Imports
I hate to be a bummer here but I just installed LibreOffice 4.1.1 from
the ppa and I still have this issue. My understanding is that the
extension is no longer used and this capability is included by default.
At this point I have restalled my system several times since the bug was
reported, curren

will follow up there to try getting the Ubuntu specific version fixed.

You are correct, LO 4.0.1.2 downloaded directly from TDF website works
as expected. Should I post this error on launchpad so that the ppa
version can be corrected? Obviously something they have been doing since
LO 3.5 is wrong.

Ok, so I have confirmed that this issue does not exist in the generic
linux version of LibreOffice but is still present in the LibreOffice
4.0.1 availiable in the PPA. Not sure how to this gets fixed for the
Ubuntu community at large as the problem has been resolved upstream but
persists in the Ubu

So I made a test pdf which had enlightening results. The import process
appears to work for text, it is the images that fail to show. I work
with construction plans in which the text is just part of a bigger
image. I never had a reason to open a file with actual text in it and

extension installed pdf files are blank. The number of pages shown and
page size is correct but where the pdf image should be is a blank space
with a bounding box.
