Sometimes, when I start my desktop I get pixelated fonts in the menu and
title bar (See attached: Font-Bugs.png)
This behaviour also comes with Chrome not being able to use system title
and border bars.
If I do `sudo service lightdm restart` enough times things go back to n

Wow, this is pretty awful.

Alberto, that's not a fix. That's a workaround.
Global Menus (appmenu, hud) is a flagship Ubuntu feature that needs
attention by product owners who care about this feature.

Eclipse side is waiting for a patch.

Hi, this is a long shot but the symptoms are the same. That is, Java
apps that used Global Menus working fine in 13.04 are now broken in
13.10 - the UBUNUTU_MENUPROXY being the same.
The possibly related (or unrelated?) bug was narrowed down to "Native
crash in org.eclipse.swt.internal.gtk.OS._gtk

Logout/Suspend/Shutdown button goes missing in 13.10

Optionally, instead of rebooting I can reset Unity doing:
dconf reset -f /org/compiz/
setsid unity
This (also) brings back the missing Gear Icon, but I'm not sure if this
is overkill.

Uhhh, sorry, I don't think this bug belongs in 'light-themes'. I am
using Ambiance (Default) - Although switching themes when the problem
occurs (Radiance, High Contrast) does nothing IE the icon remains
missing until reboot.
Can someone please triage correctly? Thanks.
