[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1016012] Re: Backup (Déjà Dup) needs to run with root permissions in Precise

2015-02-17 Thread Bachi
Well if Deja Dup is Ubuntu's general / packaged backup solution and it can not backup system files, then Ubuntu is by default not able to to proper system backups, only user data backups. Which is a really big limitation. I would strongly recommend to add the ability to backup vital system folder

I would love to have a word with the developer of this feature and I wonder how this went through QA. It's so obviously broken that it looks like the "feature" was never tested. And I also wonder what takes so long to just remove the unwanted "feature". (sorry, but such silly things are annoying

I would assume that by now a great deal of people do have a hi-res display and are affected. This bug should receive highest priority, certainly over feature enhancements as it ruins the experience. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subsc

[Desktop-packages] [Bug 1071345] Re: empathy contacts list compact mode is missing in 3.6

2013-05-07 Thread Bachi
This bug (and it really cannot be called a feature) is still present in 13.4 and makes Empathy rather useless (I see 9 contacts where Pidgin would show 17 in the same space). Side note: This becomes even more urgent since the alternative Pidgin suffers from another Ubuntu change (dropping of the n

@Jerry, this is hardly the same bug as in 2009. But I confirm it does again appear in 13.4, whereas it worked in 12.10 (after white-listing Pidgin notifications). And I also confirm that this is really annoying. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages,
