After some discussion, this is being considered:
*Ship the configuration with default_ccache_name set to $XDG_RUNTIME_DIR (or
some path under it to be more specific).
*Add a interface to the snaps so they can read files in such path.
That would of course only solve the issue for a vanilla setup.
I can verify that after installing the update, issue is fixed for me;
particularly the issue I have reported here:
https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-360649. I have been testing
this for one working day with Webstorm and Intellij IDEA, neither show
symptomps of the issue any more.
