I use an extension named "dash-to-panel". It replaces the dock (the app
icons listing on the left). So that dash-to-panel and the dock do not
fight for dominance, I run with the dock extension disabled (see
attachment 16-34-21).
Today I did a minor upgrade. Now every time I l
I discovered a work-around, suggesting a bug.
While sound was working correctly (6.9.x kernels) I had a modprobe option:

however that parameter was refactored out of the snd-sof-intel-hda-common
module.

This had no impact on my Lenovo Yoga 9 14IAP7 problem.
Sound volume is low and there is no bass.
Alsa-info here for the 6.11.4 kernel w/the 'fix'.

Hi, there seems to be a regression for the Thinkpad Z13 Gen 2 which uses
the Realtek ALC287 with the CS35L41 speaker amp, and has an existing
quirk to load the CS35L41 side codec. I'm using Alpine, and the
distribution 6.6 LTS kernel works fine, but the -edge kernel (6.11.5
currently) doesn't even

I've confirmed this is still an issue on 24.04LTS and 24.10. It's not a
good experience and this really could do with being fixed!
