This issue still happening and I enabled the above variable, gnome-shell
wasn't blinking on any window up normally, I mean only when I perform an
action it blinks that window until the event finish.
But CPU usage still idles at 20%.

Ok, I was able to find the problem.
I ran htop and noticed that both nm-applet and NetworkManager had a
quite high CPU load. I then inspected /var/log/syslog and I could see
this running endlessly:

I am using kernel v5.15.0-37 but I am still affected by this bug on my
XPS 15 (9500). Installed mutter is 42.1.
Also, the Night Light is not working (I saw some references in this
thread about this feature).
Is there anything else I must update on my system to have it working
properly?

It happens to me after snap updates firefox and removes the old version the
icon was created from. I had a look at desktop file and while Exec property is
not version specific:

Hello. I have a laptop Lenovo Legion Y540-15IRH (81SX00EVRA) with Hybrid
graphics.
OS: 20.04.4 LTS and Windows 10 in dual boot.
BIOS is set to Switchable Graphics, meaning Hybrid.
NVidia PRIME profile is set to Intel (power saving).

An extension that supports unlock-dialog session mode and should keep
running on the lock screen is disabled the first time the screen is
locked, and enabled again when the screen is unlocked (but its state and

This bug affects me too.
If I try try to reproduce it few times by clicking on a day of the next month
and clicking on the day of today and re-clicking on a day of the next month,
etc. then the session crashes when I want to close the notifications (and
calendar) view.
