This issue went away on disabling the display of seconds and then re-
enabling it. Will check if this persists across reboots and report here
if I see the issue again.

Thank you for trying; it's rather puzzling this one. I ran the snap
command on the upgraded machine and got:

Well the dist upgrade went well. I didn't get any warnings about
connecting to the snap store. I did get a debconf dialog to warn of the
deb->snap transition as expected, and the one glitch I observed

In my testing of the 94.0b5 release candidate on Windows 10, attempting
to open the PDF attachment in the composition window gave me the what
should Thunderbird do with this file prompt.
Testing on Linux, the attachment still opens in Firefox.
Both have "Preview in Thunderbird" as the Action in P

I can confirm the white screen after taking a photo.
When trying to stop a video recording cheese freezes and after a few
seconds a "Cheese is not responding" dialog box is displayed. The video
