I've encountered the same issue upon recent update to the 5.11 kernel
with Ubuntu LTS. I restarted, selected the 5.8 kernal and it worked
again. I am not sure everyone will work that out and it could be
difficult for new starters to trouble shoot from a system which doesn't
boot properly.

For gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng on Hirsute:
1) Boot to a live Hirsute USB
2) Enable -proposed pocket and add universe to the repo
3) Upgrade gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons-ng
4) Logout and login to restart gnome-shell
5) Use the touchscreen to double tap on "Home" and "Trash" icons
This still a problem in Ubuntu 20.04 and evince 40.4

When using snap-based evince the application state is not saved.
evince 40.4 from the snap of the Ubuntu 20.04 repositories:

FWIW, I have a pretty consistent reproduction of this on my 20.04
machine here. Restarting gnome-shell with Alt-F2 then "r" causes all
the window management stuff to go away, but doesn't actually kill the
process that's reporting the giant resident set size. Manually killing
that pid also causes

Installed 21.04 on P348 and reproduced this issue, after upgraded to proposed
packages, this issue is fixed.

After upgraded to latest mesa, this issue is fixed. Now it works fine on
