Same problem on Ubuntu 19.10 on HP 250 G7.
Tried editing logind.conf as per previous suggestions, but no
combination solved the problem.
Tried installing pm-utils, which weren't installed (see #117), that

AppStream releases, so this sort of is "fixed" that way, as this issue
can't be triggered anymore.

I noticed that the compositor backend renderer was set to OpenGL3.1.
Setting is to OpenGL2 seems to solve the issue for now. Will test some
more and come back to update.
