I believe that language support is not correctly installed configured. I
was lead to the gnome-language-selector by trying to understand why the
Ubuntu Software app failed to find any applications/sear
Using the steps to reproduce I can reproduce this bug but I can find
this information out through right clicking on network manager applet
and pressing connection information gives me my leased ip adderess from
dhcp. Another workaround is to run ifconfig in a terminal.

I have in my hands a slightly different Asus E205SA. This one comes with an
Elan Touchpad.
On the outside it looks exactly the same.
The other E205SA with the malfunctioning touchpad, has vendor id "0b05", which
is:

Could it be that ASUSTek touchpad
4 years and a half later and in Ubuntu 16.04 the same issue, and what we got
til now: LOW PRIORITY !

Don't see, why this is invalid: The point was: Even if the nvidia driver
is used (via prime select) it doesn't work. The first time, it worked
after unloading and loading the nvidia driver again, now it doesn't work
anyway.
Since it works with noveau drivers but not with nvidia, I think the bug

Did a "fresh" install of 16.04 a couple of days ago. Network discovery is
acting better.
Furthermore, the lack of others reporting/having this problem points to this
issue being specific to my one computer. I guess this bug report can be closed.

Yes I think you are right, same bug.
The thing is, I do actually need colour profiles because I calibrate my
monitors, and Shotwell does actually display correctly. So removing the
profiles isn't an option for me, and if I want to quickly preview an
image or look through photos, eog is just a bit

I may have found a work-around (or the cause of the problem).
I had the focus mode for windows set to "Sloppy". Changing this to
"Click" has seemed to resolve the issue. I am not sure if "Mouse" also
causes the same problem as "Sloppy", but I'm not willing to try, I just
enjoy having my mouse work

Just upgraded one of my machines to Xubuntu 16.04 and encountered this
bug. The info in post #29 solved it for me but I will be waiting for an
official fix before upgrading my other machine. Inconceivable that this
is unassigned after 18 months.
