I think this is the bug I'm seeing too on Xenial now. Even though I
have "Use this connection only for resources on its network" enabled for
both IPv4 and IPv6, once the VPN is brought up, all DNS for my LAN (i.e.
talking to my internal DNS server) is non-functional and my internal LAN
host names
Public bug reported:
4.2.0-25 (this linux) works.
I upgraded to 4.2.0-30 today, and X11 won't start; get simple login:
prompt, but no X11.
I have to downgrade to 4.2.0-25 to get any work done.

Improved patch to save previous hibernation method
Review of attachment 68712:
-
In do_hibernate() the attempt to save and restore the active mode in
/sys/power/disk fails, causing "sh: I/O error" message

As your codec seem cannot report jack status of all jacks
You need to try the following options one by one
- jack_detect (bool): specify whether the jack detection is available
at all on this machine; default true
- inv_jack_detect (bool): indicates that the jack detection logic is
inverted
Sorry for the long response time.
I proceeded to upgrade my laptop to version A09, rebooted, launched
Chrome, and X froze immediately as described above. :)
