just the DontZap option. All of that should be irrelevant to this
problem, but may as well exclude it.
Next, your MonitorsUser.xml looks a bit odd; the last config (which I
assume is the one gnome is using for your HW since i
you can use hda-analyzer to toggle R/L of node 0x24 to swap center and
lfe channel
it is a side effect of the copy front feature which the front channel is copied
to all speakers of 5.1 and 7.1
the desktop user may regarded this is a bug since center and lfe does
not get the expected signal
This still happens on 12.04:
NM sticks to one wireless network, does not switch to another configured
network.
Only a reboot fixes this, and for an hour or two; after that time, it becomes
impossibe again to switch wireless networks.

Ok. I think the root cause is some memory incoherence between the BAR
and the GPU (i.e. some TLBs are not invalidated correctly), probably
triggered by the use of wc updates through the BAR.

the music library in Rhythmbox, it plays in the correct order. If I play
it from the music lens (which otherwise works really well, thank you
guys) it gets added to the play queue sorted
