My system with the same problem has "CN700/P4M800 Pro/P4M800 CE/VN800
Graphics [S3 UniChrome Pro]" as the onboard display adaptor on an Asrock
775VM800 motherboard.
Worked fine in 12.04 but after upgrade to 12.10 I get a brief flash of
the splash screen followed by no video and no keyboard. Remot
A database program without a good report builder is mostly useless junk.
If you won't build the report builder into the basic program, at least
don't lock us out of the Sun system. I have reinstalled 3.6 and will
wait for a real release.

jack itself or external speakers? I'm guessing it's the latter and
"faint sound" indicates that the amp is getting turned off when
headphones are plugged in (but I could be way off).

I tried running Weston today, in this process i became aware of the fact that
the "Atombios stuck" thing only happens if I switch *TO* an X.org screen (eg
from one tty-terminal or from my weston-display [:1])
So this bug has to have to be in X.org.

Fails to verify here. If I select 'Automated' and enter a configuration
URL, and then click on 'Apply System Wide' I do not even get a polkit
prompt for 'admin' access.
