Ubuntu wallpaper image so that it looks OK on 6-bit LCDs (18-bit colour). I
find this disappointing because it reduces the image quality (dithering =

I wrote a stress tester that will successfully crash the intel driver on
precise (at least within minutes). It's in the compiz source at
tests/system/untest/ and is built with the source but never packaged. Just
build lp:compiz and then run:

happens when you're running fullscreen OpenGL apps. Fullscreen regular

Actually, on Quantal, I even installed a Debian kernel, upstream looked
at the result and said as soon as the kernel gets the authenticate
signal it promptly connects. As you can see from the syslogs, once the
NM gets around to issuing the "authentiate", the kernel goes right ahead

I have Ubuntu 12.10 with Empathy 3.6.0.3. And periodically he asks to
grant access after starting to work. When i run "empathy-debugger" and
select gable(jabber) i can`t see any kind of error.

Alsa driver report an invalid value, which is why 100% volume, quality is
greatly reduced, if i move the slider to adjust the sound division "without
amplification" everything is perfect.
In the applet sound, when slider at the end, sound again noticeably
deteriorates.

- Unmuted all channels in alsamixer
- Disabled onboard audio
- Tried various packages
- Completely wiped and reinstalled Ubuntu

just for your info.
I can reprodue this issue on 12.04. even compiz is slow in some
situations, the same for the game which is mentioned here.
on 12.10 i can not reproduce this issue. On that release the performance
is fine related to the vga.
