The Pin Default values in the dump you posted seem to correspond to the
default values in use when the sound level is so low (i.e. when the
outputs are configured as line-out rather than speaker) ? To change
this, per your second post, I apparently need to change default device
bit 23-20 of Pin
Please tell me this is going to be fixed before release. I can't fathom
a live USB stick that doesn't boot on (some significant amount of)
nVidia cards being release-quality stuff.

This gets more and more important by today, as most users doesn't
shutdown their system but use standby. I expect my notebook to be locked
