Today I had a 100% (out of 400%) CPU consumption by a process called
gnome-panel. Apart from the laptop turning loud I did not notice any issues and

Firefox with several tabs was running on my desktop and I had also launched
Libreoffice calc.
When I clicked on the icon for Libreoffice calc in the launcher nothing
