what i read is that unity is crashing when the user is unlocking the
screen.. so this might have nothing to do with gnome-screensaver.

was no (easy/user-friendly) way of shutting down gdm. It appears that
the order of the things during uninstalling these is not correct
(shutdown, remove)
This bug is present in Lubuntu 12.04 and I believe Ubuntu as well
hopefully it will be fixed in 12.10.

It appears to me that gnome-terminal is trying to maintain the size of
the window, no matter the number of lines within the terminal or how
many lines the menu bar removes from the terminal. When the window first
opens, it looks like it's 80x24, but then the menu bar appears and
knocks off 1 or 2 l

Just an update, I think it shows up when you have `sudo` before it:
`sudo gedit`, like when you'd be editing a config file.

After discussions about the bug #1013881, it seems that the right way to solve
this bug is to change the line 128 of symbol/fr
include "nbsp(level4nl)"
by
include "nbsp(level4n)"
For an unknown reason, the line «include "nbsp(level4nl)"» produces the
bug of Rhythmbox.
