This is what happens when you don't test non-standard configurations. I
had a patch that dropped off my radar in bug 6619
I agree. This is not fixed. In 11.10, I still see the visualization in
Firefox even when it is disabled in totem. Re-sizing the window to be small
does not matter either.
It is wasting almost 50% of my CPU!

This is incredibly messy.

Got status code 401 while trying to back
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. If I understand your last change
to the summary correctly, it is working now again, right? In this case, i.e. if
the problem is no longer reproducible, we have to close the bug as "invalid" as
there is nothing we can do about it...

I'm not having the same issue - did you check Preferences - Content -
Languages? You could also install the addon After the Deadline until
your onboard spell check is working again.
p.s. 'addon' and 'onboard' are being shown as spelling errors as I type
