I'd like to reopen this bug, it's a call for help and it still applies
as long as the software is in the archive.

Symlinking man pages is allowed, as described in this policy, but I do
not have an example in mind where this has been done.

As stated on http://crypto.cat, a complete software rewrite is been done
currently. In the meantime, there won't be any updates to the source
code which has been unmaintained since 19 months.
I am waiting for this to happen before continuing to work on the packaging.
