Thanks for making me aware of this. I didn't know about pikepdf. That's
really exciting -- I've always wanted to be able to use qpdf from Python. I
will contact pikepdf's author.

Sure, I'd be glad to do that. It will probably be sometime next week at
the earliest before I can get to it. I won't be offended if someone
beats me to it (of course), but I will try to squeeze it in as soon as I
can.

probably pick this up quickly.
I don't want to steal this from anyone else, but if no one objects or
the effort is otherwise stalled, I can just pick it up
packaging those in experimental and
encouraging people to try them out. In this way, we have had very few
problems with serious problems getting into unstable.

I think you mean "componentized", not "componized" in the short
description. The correct word "componentized" appears in the long
description.

Hello. I just thought I'd drop you a quick note to let you know how
I'm progressing with psutils. I have now gone through all the bugs.
Most are unreproducible or lack critical information. In those cases,
I've requested followups from the posters. A few problems are
fixable. I've als

[removed CC: of debian-devel to reduce noise]
I should have also mentioned that I have pretty good PostScript
knowledge and a current PostScript language reference manual on my
bookshelf.
I use these and would be happy to adopt the package.

As it turns out, new versions of vips and nip2 were released this
week. I will work on packaging them and find a sponsor. I have also
joined the upstream mailing list and introduced myself.

I think I'm going to package vips. I put this note in the RFP for
now. Once I complete my evaluation, I'll do the steps required to
change this to an ITP. I would package nip as well.

put this
up somewhere and request a sponsor on debian-mentors. I have not yet
done any work on this; I have merely observed that logwatch does not
appear to be present in Debian and has not apparently been requested
either.
