Installing the libasound2-plugins package helped me. This time. As
described in Bug report #477266.
It actually works.

I packaged hatools almost 3 years ago, Thanks for the update. It was
turned down because there are already packages that provide similar
functionality in the repositories. Looks like it may just be accepted
