If you want to find the vendor of any piece of eletrical equipment and you
can find the FCC code on it then go to http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/ and
type that number in.
Works every time

I have done something to my box ( I was using unstable for a while and ran
out of disk space ), I do not have perl on my box anymore :-(
I tried apt-get install perl but this uses /usr/sbin/dpkg-preconfigure which
is a perl scrit! So how can I put perl onto this box in a neat way?

I need to install gs from testing on my stable system.
So I tried:-
apt-get source gs --compile
This retrieved the files and tried to comiple them but ended with an error
on dh_clean.
The error I get is:-
dh_clean: Sorry, but 2 is the highest compatability level of debhelper
currently supported.
Is there a HOWTO or other guide on how to setup lpr/lpd to
be able to print PDF files?

I need to be able to backup my large collection of home movies to VCD so
that I can play them on my DVD player.
Has anyone setup a video capture card and scripted it to write to CD?
I would like to know how good quality thye results were etc.
Regards
Robin
I have setup these cards and they work OK, I found that they needed ( at
least my one ) irq=10 io=0x300
