I am running Progreny Beta 2. I am having problems with GNOME apps.
When I run certain apps it takes a long time to load. I tried running
from the command line. The problem is that the GNOME apps cannot bind to
port 16001. The program waits for a while and then loads up. Any ideas on how

You still need to have local loopback networking, even though you are
not physically on a network. You need to set it up with ifconfig.
Something like "ifconfig lo 127.0.0.1 up"
Then run the gnome applications
