Hello Everybody,
How do I change the number of times I can boot up before fsck does a
complete file system check? It does it on my Woody machine every 20
times. Also, I'm using ext3 filesystem. isn't it a journalized fs?

Does it have to be done this way? Isn't there a config file somewhere
with a number in it I can change? Say, from 20 to 30, for once a month?
-c # = number of mounts before forced check

you should use aptitude, that's easiest.

Sorry if I wasn't more specific. My point is that, I CAN mount the disk
in my Plextor IDE drive, but I cannot mount the disk in my QUE USB
drive. Why not

Hi All,
I'm brand spanking new to debian. I have managed to get Woody installed,
and now I'm trying to get ppp configured. I installed kppp and am using
that to try to connect to the internet. I created all of my account and
modem settings in kppp to match the ones in kppp in my Mandrake

line those up a bit more, and you should see your problem. try changing
'users' to 'user'.

Indeed, that is true. But somewhere during my troubleshooting, manually
ejecting the cd started to work. Then I posted the above to debian-user.
Since then I powered down/up my mach

Jerry,
The nForce2 AGPGART is not directly supported in 2.4.xx. You have some
options:
- download the driver from nVidia's website and apply the patch to a 2.4.20
kernel (it applies just fine to the Debianized kernel)
- download a later 2.5.xx or the new 2.6.0-test1 kern
