I have found the "gnome" package in the "unstable" distribution which is apparently what I want. Unfortunately when I try to install it with "apt-get install gnome/unstable" apt-get complains that the package does not exist. Also, I really want the latest (0.60a3) version of Gaim, but this is not

I've noticed the same problem on a Mandrake system I have. I had times when I had a SanDisk Cruzer (ramdrive) and a USB floppy plugged into the USB ports and there was no way (without doing an "ls") to distinguish which was which. The first one plugged in was always /dev/sda, the 2nd /dev/sdb.
