I was able to edit the source.list and tried apt-get -s install kernel-image-2.4.18 and it acts like it's going to install a whole bunch of kernels. I don't understand this. Is it just because of the -s? Does it just know what cpu I have? Should I just specify? Reading Package Lists... Done
