Does anyone know why
$ xterm -e login
briefly flashes an xterm window which immediately disappears if
differs from the currently logged in user and if the currently logged in
user isn't root? Normally the new xterm would remain with a password

When I'm not using xterm sometimes, it disappears.. The only thing that I
could think of is that it is connecting by ttyp* because I use the
timeoutd and it is only configured for ttyp*???
