Hi all, I recently installed gdm to see what it was like and then went back to xdm. When I installed xdm, it removed gdm, but now when I login at the xdm console it doesn't execute my .xsession file but instead just opens an xterm without a window manager. When I then type ./.xsession in the

I tried to send this earlier, but i don't think anything got out. After reinstalling, my .xsession file isn't run. I've looked in the man pages for x and xdm, but they don't say anything about permissions other than to be executable. I've tried 700, but this doesn't seem to do it. rick --
