After reading in man XF86Config i only commented out these unusful lines,
wrote a new line and my /etc/X11/XD86Config now lokes this:
Section "Module"
# This loads the DBE extension module.
Load"dbe" # Double buffer extension
#
Hi Matthias!
I don't find any error in /var/log/XFree* but in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
there is a bad entry how i think:
# This loads the miscellaneous extensions module, and disables
# initialisation of the XFree86-DGA extension within that module.
SubSection "extmod"
Option"omit xf

your XF86Config-4, 'Section "Module"'?

result.
But there are two warnings if i run xawtv in gnome-terminal:
This is xawtv-3.55, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.5)
