Since the message was HTML generated with some M$ tool I would

Since the message was HTML generated with some M$ tool I would
guess that the attachment contains a virus of some sort.
Maybe we are witnessing fledgling attempts at social engineering
to get Linux users download and execute viruses?

Hi all,
I want to install a Dell PowerEdge 2550 Rack Server that comes with 2
10/100 Mbps/ network cards and 1 1 Gbp/s network card.
I'm in lost to get those 10/100 network cards to run.
Are they Intel Ethernet Express 100? What driver can I use?
Anyone has s
Thanks. What finally worked for me was using the Dpkg option of
--force-overwrite to install xlibs 4.0.1-4.

I've found that for most of the 4.0.1 upgrades, I've had to remove
groff + man-db and install them again afterwards because of xlibs. Perhaps
a force of some kind would work, I'm not overly concerned by bandwidth
hence I do it this way.

Hi all,
Upgraded to the 4.0.1-4 upgrade of X today. xlibs will not install.
X Still works OK with 4.0.1-3 version of xlibs and the 4.0.1-4 versions of the
other X packages.
Here is error message:
# apt-get install xlibs

I thought I had kept the message that had the solution to this, but
apparently I tossed it.
At any rate, someone replied and suggested installing emacs without tm.
That worked.
I went into dselect/select and searched for tm (/tm twice) and marked tm
to be purged. Then at dselect's main screen

i get this error as well as a lot of errors during the compile(?)
complaining about references to free variables.
i also get errors about a symlink that is supposed to be slave link or
non-existent

I recently upgraded to Debian 2.0 and I can't get emacs 20 to install.
Here is the error message I get:
Cannot open load file: debian-rundir
emacs-install: /usr/lib/emacsen-common/packages/install/emacsen-common emacs20
failed at /usr/lib/emacsen-common/emacs-install line 26.

I'm curious. I haven't used XEmacs since I moved last summer,
and I am wondering what HTML mode you are talking about? I tend to

Much better!! Once you start using it, you never dream of using
anything else.
I'm always amazed when I log on at my ISP, type `w', and see someone
editting HTML with `pico' or `vi'. :-) It's amazin

When I did my initial debian installation, I chose to install emacs
ratger that Xemacs because I wasn't sure if I would be running
Xwindows. Now that I am using Xwindows, I attempted to install the
xemacs* packages. dpkg complained that Xemacs conflicts with emacs.
When I tried to remove emacs,
