Have you considered using java-package? I am not sur

errors each time a symlink was tried out:
./jdk-1_5_0_05-linux-i586.bin > file 2>&1
after spacing out of the License Agreement and starting the installation I
got a total of actually 4 symlink errors, each and every
8 matches
