Removed the 5snort script and attached additional lines to logrotate to
re-start snort once the logs have been rotated. I also made a script
which will monitor the snort/swatch/qpage proces

i am using snort straight out of the potato distribution on a server
that i administer remotely. as i have to find out every now and then,
snort - started through /etc/init.d/snort - dies and i have to
manually restart it.
have you guys experienced similar problems?
