for those following this subject, the new version 0.25.2-2 has just
fixed this problem, and sawmill was worth the (minimal thanks to
dselect) effort :), I'll stick with it ...

to me, each time I run :)
if I run it with the "--interp" option it seems to run, but without
the menus and don't know what else -- I've never used it.
