Hello everybody,
I'd like to use some newer packages on an old installation (Suse 7.3,
with 2.4.25 running).
As there are no new packages available, I'd have to compile them myself;
but that would mean upgrading a lot of system libraries, too (like libxml
and others), which could make problems

Hi Folks,
My first post to a Debian list. Glad to be here.
Scenario: Sarge is from CD #1 on a machine with an internet connection. At
the end of the base install, the installer downloads security and other
updates from a Debian mirror.
Question: Suppose that I wanted to archive the updates o

Hi!
I am trying to setup a PC with Debian Sarge Network install.
Unfortunately, I'm behind a Windows ISA Proxy/Firewall, so I had to interrupt
the setup after reboot in order to setup ntlmaps.
So, here are my questions:
1.: ntlmaps runs with python, so I had to install ntlmaps, python and all

At this point -- at the end of June 2005 -- I abandoned this particular
box with an unusable Sarge installation and returned to my RH 8 box to
get some work done. I was unable to return to my Debian installation
problem before last week.

Is the ISO sarge installation possible? Can anyone help me?
