Try adding
rfc1413_query_timeout = 0s
to the Main section of exim.conf.

works fine, and I've configured exim to accept mail from network
192.168.0.0/24. But, it looks like exim on my desktop is trying to do a DNS
lookup on my firewall, which obviously does not exist. How do I
