I recommend using SMTP AUTH instead. It's more reliable, for one

kernel 2.4.9. i have checked the faqs and mans of these three entities trying
to find out how i can use multiple email address from one unix account.

There are a few solutions for pop before smtp list on www.qmail.org. The
one involving PAM sounds like it should work
