I can play them fine on Amarok, but would prefer to get the other apps
working to avoid having to start
I use Alsa sound. All other sounds work. Using alsa with gstreamer for
system sounds, etc.. Never had cd audio working. This is a new PC I
bought. :(

Using debian testing, kernel-2.6.6, this is really not a huge problem because
I can play audio CDs with other applications, but I wonder why when I use
alsaplayer I get this error:
CDDA: read TOC ioctl failed
Googling has got me the question but no answer that I can see.
