I just built a brand new Sarge system and I have Apache2 set up and running
fine. I also have PHP4 installed and the approriate modules in Apache2. I
installed Gallery & it simply does not work. I have looked at the php.ini and
read over several archived things about running Gallery. I

Did you run the install script as root, or as your normal user?
Which destination directory did you specify when asked?
I haven't really used FGS myself so
Bonjour Matt,
Merci for your time.
Yes I am using Debian.
For MapTools' FGS base with Chamelon, I used it's own install script.
For libssl0.9.7, libgnutls11 and php4, I re-installed it using apt-get
install --reinstall.

Bonjour,
I have an undefined symbol in php4.so
# apachectl configtest
Syntax error on line 245 of /etc/apache/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /usr/lib/apache/1.3/libphp4.so into

I just install MapTools' FGS base with Chamelo
I am trying to install an application (Maia) that needs GD and JPGraph on Sarge/Stable but I cannot get 'apt-get' to correctly install php4-gd or libphp-jpgraph.
I can use either apt-get or aptitude to install these packages, and there doesn't seem to be any installation errors.
apt-get'd the source for php4 - and modified the debian/rules file to
include oci8 support (--with-oci8=/u01/app/oracle/product/9.2.0).
The problem is, that when executing dpkg-buildpackage I get a load of errors
whilst attempting to compile the oci8 extensions.
Has anyone sucessfully com

I have a server configured with apache and php4 working great. I just
added the apache-ssl package and I created my own certificate. My
problem is now when I try to access a .php page over SSL I get a prompt
to download the file instead of it opening in my browser.
