I've installed Oracle 8i on a woody box. I didn't use any documentation,
I am not sure if there is any, but I just ran the installer off the cd. it
worked perfectly.

te once, run anywhere" java program. :) oracle should
hire some debian maintainers to write a shell/perl/whatever installation
script that works on linux boxes. having to run X to install oracle sucks
as well.
