Hey Derrick,
Many thanks for the "internet printer" tip. I had been trying to use
samba to print from Windows XP with varying success. Specifying the
CUPS http address worked like a charm.
Some minor notes for others who are trying this:
- The URL that worked for me was http://server:631/print
