After a recent dist-upgrade on my "sid" system midi has stopped working. Both soundfonts loaded with sfxload and timidity started as a soft synth (timidity -iA -Os -B2,8 &) have stopped functioning. Starting noteedit and attempting to config a synth says that no sequencer is available. Sound ot

Hi, I don't know much about midi, so this may be idiotic. I have a Crystal sound card (cs46xx), but doing "modprobe cs46xx; modprobe soundcore" doesn't configure any midi devides. I'd like to be able to use rosegarden and for that playmidi -e has to work. Do I have to get another sound card or

Hi, I got i810 board (sound integrated). I use alsa modules snd-card-intel8x0 sound system is ok just midi; when I play using playmidi test.mid it says open /dev/sequencer: No such device then I try kmid: Player :: There are no midi ports ! if I run kmidi it can play but the sound quality
