I copied the new zImage and System.map to /boot/vmlinuz-2.2.0 and
System.map-2.2.0

FWIW, I've compiled 2.2.1 without problems and it seems to be running
perfectly under hamm on both a desktop Cyrix DX486/100 and a laptop
Toshiba 4000CDT.
The only change I had to make, following on another message in this list,
was to change my /etc/printcap to use /dev/lp0 instead of /dev/lp1.

I installed Debian 2.0 couple of months back and had not
made any attempts to get sound to work. Yesterday, I got

machines, so I figured I'd try it out on my 486DX2/66 that I am
setting up as a home machine for my janitor.
I'm building custom kernels with kernel-package 6.03, and using
pristine 2.2.0 source. I've made sure I've built with with
The sd_mod module in 2.2.0-pre6 doesn't seem to work for me; lots of
missing symbols. Anyone else experienced this? Not serious since my
Zip drive is all that's affected here, but annoying because otherwise
everything works well.
