just gave-up my first try at kernel compilation :-(
the reasons why it failed are unimportant now, I probably overlooked
one or more needed modules; the fact is that I was just trying to
add IP_FORWARDING GATEWAYING capabilities to my Debian 1.3 in order
to gain access to the intern
